I moved to East Nashville (Meridian St) in 1993. I grew up in a city that no longer exists… the one that made me into the artist I am…I attended Highland Heights Middle School and Maplewood High School graduating in 1999 as a single teen mom. My daughter participated in all community park sports growing up and basketball for Nashville P.A.L. As she got older, she attended GraMar middle and joined the McFerrin step team…. During that time, I started working with Starlito and began building my brand as a custom clothing designer working with the local music industry in Nashville. I eventually relocated to my hometown of Atlanta, Ga in 2011.
I was commissioned to create this mural for Slim + Husky’s in 2021 for their grand opening at the downtown location on Broadway. In March 2025, they closed that location permanently and my mural went with it!
I created this download for anyone that remembers this era and know just how important it was to the culture. They might’ve erased THIS Nashville, but they’ll never erase the rich history. This was to pay homage to THE HEART & SOUL of Nashville.
